Expert Reviews of The Apple Pan

Citysearch | Heartland decor and traditional American fast food--it's all about the burgers and the apple pie.

The best and most unique

I've eaten at the Apple Pan since 1948. The food is unique and consistant. Just the way Mr. Baker and his Chicago partner/brother would want it. It's an experience that stands with The Pantry and the Original French Dip (Phillipys) If you haven't tried these places and enjoyed them, you're missing the best.

Not worth it

I agree with user "Surf", it's not worth it for what you get. Overpriced. Your money is better spent at Fatburger, In-N-Out, Tommy's, or Big Tomy's (in that order). Any of these will be cheaper and at least as...

?????

Took a bunch of friends there, expecting some good burgers. Nothing spectacular. Just regular burgers that you can get in any town. Disappointed!!!

The very best burgers

The Apple Pan serves is the best hamburger I have ever eaten. The hot apple pie a la mode is delicious. I have been going to this retaurant for 50 years and will continue to do so.

The REAL Six Dollar burger

definitely an awesome burger, but not cheap! This is where Carl's Junior got their six dollar burger slogan from. Expect to pay about $15 for a cheeseburger, fries and a drink.
